Episode 906 of Mystery Science Theater features director Jack Arnold ("It Came From Outer Space", "Creature From The Black Lagoon", "Revenge Of The Creature" (which also appeared on MST3K), "High School Confidential") and producer William Alland (MST3K favourites: "Revenge Of The Creature", "Mole People" "The Deadly Mantis" and "This Island Earth" which was the subject of MST3K: The Movie. jack Arnold worked on that film as well) 's "The Space Children" (1958). A Cold War-aware alien seizes the minds of the children of military leaders and contractors in order to block what it views a step towards apocalypse. Where is this alien now? While certainly not a good film, it is also not one of the worst. A considerable number of the behind-the-camera talent went on to win Academy Awards for other work. Jackie Coogan and Peggy Webber (Jenni in the Screaming Skull) feature prominently.
